Experience Bethlehem 2015 this fall!

Join us for all or part of this extraordinary weekend of activities aimed at letting you taste and see what God is doing in the community life of Bethlehem College & Seminary. We hope you can join us for several events taking place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, September 17–19, 2015. All events will take place at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Downtown Campus.

    Enjoy an evening concert with The Gray Havens. Husband–wife Dave and Licia Radford comprise The Gray Havens, a folk-pop duo whose unique artistry draws from such influences as C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Jonathan Edwards.

    Hoping, Singing, and Loving in the Refiner’s Fire. The Message of 1 Peter.

    Join us for a weekend seminar with John Piper and his Bible-teaching method called Look at the Book (LAB). At this seminar you will walk with Piper through scripture as he circles texts, underlines key phrases, and points out related verses to draw as much as you can from the passages and learn to study in depth.

  • Degree Completion Program Preview Lunch

    Saturday, September 19 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM

    For those interested in the Degree Completion Program, you are invited to a lunch on Saturday, following the Look at the Book event.

    Bethlehem College & Seminary offers a 64-credit Bachelor of Theology (BTh) or a 32-credit Certificate in Theological Studies in a degree completion program format. The Degree Completion Program is a great option for those with at least 40 transferrable credits to finish their degree with a commitment of one night a week for 20 months. The 16-month Certificate program, open to all adults, provides a theological foundation for a lifetime of ministry.

  • Neighborhood Service Project

    Saturday, September 19 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

    Join us for a neighborhood service project in diverse South Minneapolis. Participants will enjoy a complimentary lunch at the church and instructions for the project. Busses will take everyone to the project and will return back to the church by 4 PM.

  • Weekend Church Services

    Saturday, September 19 at 5:30 PM

    Sunday, September 20 at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM

    We warmly invite you to join us for one of our church services on Saturday night or Sunday morning. Join us and the congregation at Bethlehem Baptist Church in worship and hearing the word of God preached by Pastor Jason Meyer.

    There is no need to register for the services.

    Parking is available in the main church lot or in the lot north of the church between 6th & 7th Streets.


    For those arriving through the airport (Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, MSP), transportation is available through Super Shuttle, taxi service, or the Light Rail.


    The following hotels are in downtown Minneapolis and all within a 20 minute walk or a five minute drive.

  • FAQ

    Is there childcare available?

    We are not able to facilitate childcare for any of the events on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. However, there is an area outside the sanctuary with the audio/video streamed of the concert and seminar for those with restless or crying children. There is also a nursing mother’s room located downstairs. (If you attend the church service on Saturday night or Sunday morning, the nurseries are open for childcare).

    Can I register for only part of the Look at the Book seminar?

    You are welcome to attend part of the seminar but only a full event registration is available.

    Will the Look at the Book be live streamed?

    No, the seminar will not be live streamed. However, the content of the seminar will be posted on the Desiring God website in the months following the event.

    I registered but can no longer attend. What is the refund policy?

    We are not able to process refunds for this event but you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else.
